Good afternoon...this announcement is concerning the Jackson Scholars Awards. On the day of the event, scholars will be given 2 tickets. The Scholar Awards ceremony is scheduled to be outdoors at this time. As long as the event is outdoors, tickets will not be needed. If inclement weather occurs, students and parents will be notified by 330pm the day of the ceremony that the venue will be moved indoors. If this occurs, due to COVID limitations, we will only be able to accommodate 2 people per scholar due to the gym capacity. I thank you for your time and hope you have a great week!

Good evening Jackson parents, students, and staff:
First, let me say that our students have been doing a great job on the General Summative Assessments! We have one day left, keep up the great work! I want to thank the parents for having students prepared and here on time!
I do want to mention that it has come to my attention that students are bringing various beverages to consume during the school day. Water or flavored water are the only beverages that students should be bringing to school. Students are not permitted to bring soda or energy drinks to consume during class. Please consider this as we finish out the school year!
Again, I thank everyone for your time and appreciate all your hard work! Go Generals!
Good evening Jackson parents, students, and staff:
Beginning tomorrow, all students will be taking the General summative Assessments. Students will test Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday morning of this week. All students need to be on time daily so they do not have to make up tests on a different day. In order to do your best please remember these simple items:
Please make sure you go to bed early so you get enough sleep.
Eat a good breakfast each morning.
Try your best on each assessment!
And last but not least, MAKE SURE YOUR IPAD IS CHARGED!
Good luck and we know you will all do great! Go Generals!
This message is for all 8th graders and their parents. Tomorrow, 8th grade will take the General Summative Assessment in Science. We appreciate your help in assuring everyone does their very best and look forward to seeing our 8th graders tomorrow morning! Go Generals!

As part of Teacher Appreciation Week, I want to take a moment to personally say ‘Thank You’ to all of Wood County Schools’ selfless and dedicated educators.
This has been one of the most challenging school years in recent history. Our teachers have not only endured nearly impossible tasks but have risen to the challenge and have continued to place our students first. Our teachers and personnel have dedicated countless hours keeping students engaged, providing support and care to families, and giving our children a beacon of normalcy in an often turbulent and uncertain world. The work you do each day is more appreciated than you will ever know.
Wood County Schools is blessed to have so many caring and dedicated teachers, and I want all of you to know: We see what you are doing and what you have done, and we are thankful you are here.
Thank you for making a difference!
Good evening, Jackson parents, students, and staff,

Good afternoon Jackson 8th grade parents. This is a quick reminder about the PHS scheduling meeting for tonight at 7pm. The location of the meeting is at Jackson, however we will now meet in the band room. You can come up the front main stairs or come through door 17 on the side of the school. We made this change so we can have a better place to watch the presentation. This meeting will not last longer than an hour.
Also, any Virtual School or Distance Learners will be meeting with a counselor in one of their live meetings soon. The PHS counselors are working with those teachers. They will discuss the process and provide all paperwork for them to get their schedule done for next year. I hope you have a great evening!
This is a quick announcement to 8th grade students and parents. This week, 8th graders will be meeting with PHS counselors. Monday, the students will hear information from counselors concerning courses and how the scheduling process works. There will be a parent meeting in the Jackson cafeteria on Tuesday evening at 7pm. This meeting is for parents to hear from the high school counselor and ask any questions. All parents should enter through the cafeteria doors and please wear a mask. This meeting will last no longer than an hour. Have a great evening and Go Generals!
