This is an important message about the mobile dental clinic coming to Jackson Middle School on February 11th and February 12th, 2025. This program is offered to any student who has not seen a dentist in over 12 months.
If you indicated interest on your child’s pink emergency information form, a packet with information and a consent form was sent home with your child last week. If you wish for your child to participate, please complete the consent form and return it to Nurse Cassie by Wednesday, February 5th, 2025.
If you did not receive a packet but would like more information, please call the school nurse at 304-420-9551, message her via Rooms, or email her at candrews@k12.wv.us, and a packet will be sent home.

Wood County Schools will operate on a 2-hour delay on Tuesday, January 14th, due to refreezing roadway conditions and low temperatures.
Correction: The January 13 edition of the *Parkersburg News & Sentinel* incorrectly stated that Wood County Schools would be adding an additional 30 minutes to the school day in relation to "equivalency time" for days missed due to inclement weather. In fact, Wood County Schools already incorporates 30 extra minutes into its regular school day, which can be used to account for missed instructional time. To be clear, Wood County Schools will not be adding 30 minutes to the end of any school day.

Wood County Schools has announced that pre-kindergarten (pre-k) registration for the 2025-2026 school year will commence on February 3, 2025. Children must be four years old by June 30, 2025 (or qualify for special education IEP services). The district offers free pre-kindergarten classes to eligible children, providing early childhood education to prepare them for future academic success. If you and your family assisted with Operation Christmas Adoption, please remember that drop off is tomorrow, December 17th between the hours of 4pm-6pm by door 14. Good morning...this is Mr. Kisner with an update concerning the Choir performances for this evening. All performances are still happening at the normal time. Students need to be at the church by 4:30, ready to warm-up and sing at 4:40. Also please remember that 6th grade students will be picked up at 8:30 and 7th grade will be 8:45. Jackson Middle School will be closed for students and staff today, Thursday, December 12th, due to a water main break that has left the school without water.
