Just a reminder, please do not send your child to school sick as they will be sent home. Any child sent home sick, will be excluded from school until they: Have a negative covid test, have a note from their dr allowing them to return, OR quarantine for 10 days. Students symptoms must be improving and they must be fever free for 24 hours without medication before they can return. Also as a reminder, no medication can be present or given at school without a doctors order. This includes cough drops, Tylenol, Ibuprofen, and medicated creams/ointments. Mrs. Shahan’s class got to try out their new STEM bins today. They chose a task card and using the given materials had to build the picture on the card. They built traps, houses, rockets, and other creative ideas with their partners.

Congratulations to the BES Girls Basketball Team! The girls finished tied for second in the regular season and finished third in the county tournament. Final record is 13-2. Great job, girls!

Fourth Grade Award Assembly
Today we celebrated fourth grade students who went above and beyond. Congratulations to our award winners. They will get to attend an award movie to celebrate their hard work.
As a Halloween activity, Mr. Hartshorn took Mrs. Shahan's class on a Skeleton Scavenger Hunt. Students had to use clues to find where bones were hidden around the school to ultimately put together a full skeleton. It was a "bone-chilling" good time!
Third graders at Blennerhassett Elementary decorated pumpkins for a pumpkin decorating contest. . Staff voted on the cutest, funniest and scariest from each classroom.

BES Outreach donated diapers, wipes, pull-ups, bottles, sippy cups, stuffed animals, snacks and sleepers for local children in need to the DHHR. Thank you to all of those who donated and helped those in our community.
