Girls basketball grades 7/8 tonight at Vandy!


Due to worsening road conditions, Wood County Schools will now be closed today, Tuesday, January 31st. There will be no classes. 261-day employees are to report two hours later than their normal start time.

Wood County Schools will be on a two-hour delay today, Tuesday, January 31st, due to weather conditions. All buses and classes will operate two hours later than normal. Employees will report to work one hour later than their normal start time.

MPORTANT!
Report cards were mailed out last week. However, our fantastic computer program (insert 🙄 ) computed the GPA incorrectly for any student with an Intervention class. Therefore, new reports are being created to reflect the appropriate GPA.

Report cards have been mailed. Vandy has also included a copy of your student’s most recent iReady reading and math diagnostic (taken between Dec -Jan). Diagnostics note each foundational area and overall grade level your student is performing at per skill area. Please contact your child’s teacher if you have questions, concerns or wish to schedule a conference.

DATE NIGHT: Mark your calendar! Parent/Student Valentine date night for LEARNING IS SWEET! This Title 1 sponsored event will host a variety of fun math and ELA activities that will challenge and engage you and your student. Feb 13, 530-7.

Wood County Schools has the opportunity to provide a 5 day meal kit to Van Devender Middle school during spring break (March 20-24). Meal kits are shelf stable and will include breakfast, lunch, and shelf stable milk for the students. Please complete the survey if interested. As a reminder, the 2nd 9 weeks grading period ends January 13. Please check for any missing assignments in Schoology and get them completed and turned in WELL BEFORE Jan 13. New semester (third 9 weeks) begins Jan. 17.

Families, please remind your students to return all books borrowed from the Wood County Public Library during their Social Studies research projects. Books can be returned to the school OR taken directly to the library. A drop box is located in the rear parking area.
