Mrs. Jeni Hopkins, Assistant Principal
Hello Jaguar Families.
My name is Mrs. Jeni Hopkins. I have been working in Wood County Schools for over 20 years with a total of 30 years in education. I have had many roles in the education field. I started as an aide, did summer custodial work, was a bus aide, and secretary. After moving to Florida and attending the University of Central Florida, I became a Special Education teacher. I have taught Multi-Categorical and Behavioral Disorders.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Special Education and a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership. I have been a life long resident of Wood County except for 10 years I lived in Florida. I attending Roosevelt Elementary, Franklin Junior High School, and graduated from Parkersburg South High School.
I have been at Jefferson Elementary Center for 9 years. I love being a Jaguar. My main duties are PBIS, Discipline, Attendance, Safety, SAT, and Special Education. I have also been working more with our C & I Assistant Principal with Title I and Curriculum. I have a open door policy and I am here to help you in any way I can. A little about myself:
I am married with 2 children and 2 grandchildren. I have a son, Duane, his 2 children, my grandchildren, Payton and Noah. I also have a daughter, Caitlin who recently graduated from Parkersburg South High School. She is currently seeking employment with Wood County Schools and wants to work with children with Autism. She is currently working for a daycare. My family is my life. I love spending time with my kids and grandkids. We love the outdoors, hunting, and fishing. I love spending time out at our farm doing the things we love to do.
