*Student Test Scores* In spring 2023, students in Grades 3 through 8 took the General Summative Assessment and students in Grade 11 took the SAT School Day assessment. On Tuesday, September 12, students will receive a printed copy of their individual student score report which will contain information regarding each student's performance on the tested areas. To further assist parents/guardians in understanding their child's performance on the WVGSA or the SAT School Day, the West Virginia Department of Education is providing an individual video score report for each student in addition to the printed report.. A link to your child's individual video score report will be sent to your child's K12 student email address on September 12th. Please work with your student to access the link in the email. When you click on the link, you will be taken to a site where you will need to enter your child's date of birth to access the video report. Resources are also available at that site to help your student. If you need assistance in locating the video score report link, or if you do not know your child's K12 email address or password, you may contact your child's school, or contact Cathy Grewe at the Wood County Schools Board Office at 304-420-9663 Extension 122.

Good evening families. This is Ms. Cumpston. I wanted to clarify that school pictures are through Lifetouch this year. It came to my attention today that many of you have received emails from Interstate and Lifetouch. I have contacted Interstate and if you purchased pictures, they will be refunding your money. School pictures are next Monday. I apologize for the confusion. Have a great evening.

Parent Pick-Up (Cars) Our goal on Monday is to have everyone dismissed by 3:05. Hopefully, over the next couple of weeks, we will get everyone dismissed by 3:00. Please make sure that your child knows their pick-up number. This will help things go a little faster.

A note from Ms. Dixon Families that pick-up at the fire hydrant Some wonderful parent suggestions have been given to make walker pick-up more efficient and continue to keep everyone safe. Monday grades 3-5 will still walk home and they will grab their younger siblings like they have been. One teacher per grade level will be checking KG, 1st, and 2nd grade off to leave. Every child in the school was given a parent pick-up tag number this year. Please bring the tag and this will be an easy way for the teacher to find your child's name. This also helps us to make sure children are going with the correct person. Thank you so much for the support and patience as we make adjustments.

Thank you to everyone who attended open house yesterday! This message is to share information regarding after-school pick-up. If you are driving a vehicle to pick-up your child, please use the parent pick-up line and make sure to have your tags hanging where we can see them. If your child is a walker, they should be walking to your home. If you are a parent who is parking or walking and getting your K-2 children from the fire hydrant, please be prepared for some changes to this procedure. We need to ensure that all children are going with the correct adult. Staff will instruct students in K-2 grade to remain with the duty teachers until a parent "checks" them out. Please be patient as we work out the kinks. Our number 1 priority is student safety.
