MS Students: Clothing that reveals the stomach or cleavage is not allowed. Halter, tube, & open shoulder tops, & spaghetti straps are not allowed Undergarments must be covered. Shorts must be fist length, skirts/dresses must be fingertip length. Holes in jeans must be fist length. Cutoff shirts are not allowed. Pants worn below the waist revealing undergarments, chains, & head coverings (not required by religious beliefs) are not allowed.
Williamstown Middle School Social Studies Fair and Science Fair winners have done a GREAT job representing our school in the regional and state fairs over the past week! The following students received rankings in the regional and state fairs:
Landon Russell (8th grade) received 2nd place in the WV State Science Fair for his project, "Which Firestarter Is Best To Take Backpacking?"
Caleb Maleke and Luke Seago (6th grade) received 3rd place in the Region V Social Studies Fair for their project, "Wavery-Bethel Church: House of Worship, House of History"
Gunnar Brookover (6th grade) received 1st place in the Region V Social Studies Fair for his project, "Disney & the Copyright Graveyard". Gunnar will be continuing on to compete in the State Social Studies Fair!

Boys' basketball Regional Co-Final Tickets are on Sale now. The Williamstown YellowJackets will host the Tyler Consolidated Silver Knights on Wednesday, March 12 at WHS at 7 pm. The doors for this event will open at 5:30 pm. All regional tickets must be pre-purchased online, or you may purchase at the venue with a credit card, debit card, or Apple Pay. There are NO CASH tickets for this game. This is a WVSSAC event with all ticket sales going to the WVSSAC. ONLY WVSSAC passes will be accepted and will admit the card holder and ONE guest. WOW! What an impressive weekend in Charleston, as elite young musicians from throughout WV gathered to learn from top notch educators and clinicians from around the country. Their final performances were outstanding, clearly demonstrating the love, time, and dedication they have put into perfecting their craft.

This Friday, our Lady Jacket basketball team will take on the Ravenswood Red Devils in the Region 1 Semi-final. Let's pack the stands in support of these young ladies! Doors will open at 5:30 pm. There will be no cash tickets at the gate. We will be able to take card or Apple Pay, and you can also pre-buy tickets on the GoFan app. Only WVSSAC passes will be accepted and students do NOT get in for free. Winner of Friday's game will take on the Lady Blue Devils on March 5 in St. Marys.
Students have received their forms selecting courses for the following school year. To do our best to provide schedules to meet their needs we need their course request forms submitted back to school as soon as possible. The WMHS Elective Fair will be held tomorrow, Wednesday, February 19 in the Middle School Gym.
The schedule is as follows:
12:15-12:45- current juniors
12:50-1:20- current sophomores
1:30-2:00- current freshmen
2:05-2:35 - current 8th graders
If there is a 2-hour delay, the schedule will be as follows:
12:50-1:15 - current juniors
1:25-1:50- current sophomores
2:00-2:25 current freshmen
2:35-3:00 - current 8th graders
On THURSDAY, February 20, course request sheets will be distributed to current 9-11 graders in class with Mrs. Nisewarner, Ms. Wigal, and Mrs. Lee, who will answer any questions students may have. Completed and signed forms will be due back to those teachers on or before Monday, March 3. Lara Coughlin with Building Bridges to Careers will be at the school in the near future to talk to all high school students about programs they offer, including job shadowing and internships. Please note that course request sheets should have already come home with current 8th graders. Those are also due March 3.
