Good morning,
On Monday October 28th, Parkersburg High School will begin keeping track of tardies for the purpose of assigning Extended School Program. ESP is an hour spent in the library with an assigned teacher after school from 3:30 - 4:30.. Each tardy after 5 and up to number 8 will result in ESP. After a student has accumulated a 9th tardy in the 9 weeks, In-School Suspension will be assigned by an administrator.

Good afternoon,
Remember to wear red on Friday.
A few items:
1. ITEMS LEFT IN LOCKERS LAST YEAR.
Our custodial crew washed the clothing left in lockers last year and are willing to return the items to the students. They have also washed any leftover water bottles to return. Items not picked up prior to 9/1 will be donated. Items can be picked up in the back corner heading toward the link. Do not visit the custodians during 5th or 7th periods.
2. BACKPACKS
After students have been given a locker, they are responsible to place backpacks and binders into their lockers prior to lunch. We have had no difficulty serving students and each lunch period is 45 minutes so placing items away will not keep them from having lunch.
3. PICTURE DAY
August 28th Seniors and Juniors during their math class. Schedule will shared. Pictures will be in the auditorium.
August 29th Freshman and Sophomores.
4. IPad Distribution
We will begin iPad distribution in English classes on Friday, 8/23. The distribution schedule is as follows:
Friday, 8/23-Seniors
Monday, 8/26-Juniors
Tuesday, 8/27-Sophomores
Wednesday, 8/28-Freshman
Remote/Virtual please request and you will be given a call back when ready
5. Homecoming shirts and tickets --- September 14th 7-10pm
Shirts can be purchased in rooms 317S or 225C until Wednesday August 28th $15/$18 XXL and up
Outside Guest Registration forms will be available starting Monday (guests must be at least 9th grade) in the Admin office, Student Service Center, or the Finance office. Tickets will only be sold starting the Monday of Homecoming for $10.

Welcome Big Red freshman class of 2028. I’m excited to officially great you Wednesday for the first day of school.

Students may carry backpacks to class but will have to place them in their lockers prior to lunch. I’d like to continue allowing backpacks but we need to follow this simple request.
Please come to Open House tomorrow from 5-7 to meet your teachers, unlock your locker and walk your schedules. The cafeteria doors will be open 9-4 tomorrow to pick up your schedules and then again from 5-7 for Open House.
