Blennerhassett Elementary

Blennerhassett Elementary Track had two of our three championship teams recognized in the paper today. Our Girls team for winning the girls overall championship and our 9/10 girls for winning their age group championship. The entire team championship should be recognized in the paper soon. Considering it is a picture with 52 kids, they may need time to find enough space for it! So proud of how hard these kids fought all season with a goal to win it all!!! Mission accomplished!!! According to the trophies in the case at school, we won the grand championship in 1979, 1987, 1989, 1992, and now in 2022… first time in 30 years!!!

Bus 171 was in an accident this morning, there are no injuries however, there is a delay getting to school. Everyone on the bus was examined at the scene and no injuries were reported, our school nurse will also examine the students when they arrive at Blennerhassett Elementary.

Congratulations to our BES Younger Girls and Boys Track teams on WINNING the combined score for tonight’s Under 10 WCS Track Meet out of 18 Schools!!! Our Girls were dominate with a 1st place finish while our boys did very well finishing in 6th place. Updating everyone that the BES Fun Run will take place today! This is also a reminder to all parents, relatives and friends of the children participating that this is a closed school event. Thank you to the volunteers that assist the BES PTA to make today fun, safe and exciting for the kids. There will be more opportunities for volunteering in the near future. Combined the older kids finished in 3rd place overall for the meet. Reminder: April 28 is our "Fun Run" fundraiser. Students need to turn in their pledge sheets by Tuesday, April 26. They will be returned after the Run for collection. Surfer dude “Breeze”, Elvis and iReady Ready made special visits to classrooms over the last few weeks who attained a 90% or higher pass rate on iReady. Classes were awarded a certificate for extra recess. Congratulations!
