Attention high school families!
Monday, Feb. 7, 8am-4pm, Parkersburg South student parking lot.
Wood County Schools is distributing Wifi Hotspots to families who indicated a need for devices during an internet usage survey in September. Families qualified for the devices if they had no or unreliable internet access at home.
There is no cost to the family.
The device is already activated and assigned to your student’s ID number. To pick up the device a parent or guardian that is listed on WVEIS must come to pick it up with photo ID and fill out the usage agreement. The device must be returned at the end of the school year.
If you do not know if you registered for a hotspot or you no longer have need of the hotspot, contact MIS to let them know. Families are being put on waitlists for when distribution has finished and will be allocated hotspots if available.
A tent will be set up Monday in the student parking lot at Parkersburg South High School. There will be no classes that day because it is a teacher training day. Officials with MIS will be distributing the hotspots at that location throughout the day.
Please contact MIS at 304-420-9510 x0 to if you no longer need the device. This is for families of students at Parkersburg High, Parkersburg South, and Williamstown High who previously indicated a need for a hotspot.
