2025-2026 calendar proposal words with ivory decorative vases and jars

PARKERSBURG - The Wood County Schools calendar committee has finalized its recommendation for the 2025-2026 academic year calendar. This proposal was presented to the Board of Education during its regular meeting on Tuesday, November 19, by Heather Grant, Director of Elementary Education.

The recommended calendar outlines key dates for the upcoming school year, including the start and end of the academic term, holiday breaks, professional development days for staff, and graduation dates.

The proposed calendar will be made available for public review and comment. Community members will have the opportunity to share their feedback starting after the December 3, 2024, Board of Education meeting.

The calendar committee emphasized the importance of community input in finalizing the schedule, ensuring it meets the needs of students, parents, and staff across the district.
