Safety is one of our main priorities for our students. Please do not bring animals on to school property while students are present, including arrival and dismissal. Some people are allergic and others may scared.
Also please mark your calendars for grades 3-5 GSA State Testing. These dates are May 4,5, 6, and Science for 5th grade only on May 9th. Please try to avoid scheduling appointments on these days, if possible. We will begin practicing with students this week. We ask that students return their ipads and chargers to the school to be sure that they are ready to go for the test practice. Please remember that if these items are not returned there will be a charge issued from the county.
Wood County Schools: Distribution of Wi-Fi hotspots to qualifying families will end at 3 p.m. April 15. Information on end-of-year collection of hotspots will be released in the coming weeks. All hotspots must be returned by the end of the 2021-22 school year.

Good evening 2nd grade parents! This is a notice to look in your child's backpack for the reminder invitation for Wednesday's Book Tasting Party. If you have not already returned an invitation for this event, please fill it out and return it to your child's homeroom teacher tomorrow. This is a great event to share with your Child and is so much fun. We will be giving away free books and materials. Remember, we will begin at 1:00 on Wednesday. Hope to see you there!
Monday, April 4th will be our Spring picture day. Students will be photographed individually if you choose and prepay, either online or by sending payment with the envelope form which was sent. Please let your child's teacher know if you ordered online. All students will be photographed with their group class picture, unless you have requested your child not be photographed.

NEW LOCATION! The Wood County Schools' Social Studies Fair on Saturday, February 19th, will now take place at Williamstown High School. Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. Judging is from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Public viewing begins at 5:00 p.m. Awards will begin at 6:00 p.m.
Based upon our internet access survey this past September, Wood County Schools has secured Wi-Fi hotspots for those who have a need and have no or unreliable internet. If you have a child who attends any Wood County Schools’ elementary school, you may pick up a Wi-Fi hotspot in the student parking lot at Parkersburg South High School. A map can be found on the Wood County Schools’ website. Pickup is available on Monday, February 21st, from eight to four. It is not necessary to call ahead.
Our students have worked hard this year. We will be holding our 2nd Nine Weeks Awards tomorrow Friday, February 11 to celebrate. 3rd-5th will be at 8:30am and 1st-2nd at 10:00am. Due to inclement weather, the county social studies fair has been rescheduled to Saturday, February 19.
Please make plans to register your child for next year's Pre K class.
It is quick and easy. PRE K Registration from Feb 1st-4th.
Must be 4 by June 30- Bring as many of the following items as you have.
Immunization record, state certified birth certificate, well-child exam, dental exam, Social security card.
Register your Kroger card, and when you use it, a portion will be sent to Neale. We use this for student and staff recognition. This is a wonderful way for friends and families to support us as well. It doesn't cost a thing. Thank you!
