REMINDER:
Lubeck teacher requests for the 2022-2023 school year will be accepted March 7 - March 18. Please submit requests on a full sheet of paper and include the following information: Student first and last name, grade they are entering, requested teacher’s name, and the name of parent/guardian making the request. We are not able to accept requests electronically. Requests will not be accepted after March 18. This is a firm cut-off date. Submitting a request does not guarantee classroom placement. However, it is used as a piece of information when developing class rosters. We take great care in matching teachers and students. Ultimately, we strive to create classroom communities that meet instructional, structural, and personality needs.

Lubeck SPRING PICTURES are scheduled for Thursday, March 10. There will be individual and class photos taken. Please look for order forms to come home with your student today.

Lubeck Families,
We are experiencing some issues with our school phone system. At this time, the ability to call out and receive calls is inconsistent. We have reported this issue and are hopeful for a quick solution. Thank you for your patience.

February 22nd is the ultimate "TWOS" day!
Lubeck Students and Staff are invited to dress up in TIES, TIE-DYE, TIARAS, TUTUS, or as TWINS to celebrate!

NEW LOCATION! The Wood County Schools' Social Studies Fair on Saturday, February 19th, will now take place at Williamstown High School. Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. Judging is from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Public viewing begins at 5:00 p.m. Awards will begin at 6:00 p.m.

Based upon our internet access survey this past September, Wood County Schools has secured Wi-Fi hotspots for those who have a need and have no or unreliable internet. If you have a child who attends any Wood County Schools’ elementary school, you may pick up a Wi-Fi hotspot in the student parking lot at Parkersburg South High School. A map can be found on the Wood County Schools’ website. Pickup is available on Monday, February 21st, from eight to four. It is not necessary to call ahead.

Lubeck Students in grades K-5 will be bringing home iReady Diagnostic Family Reports on Tuesday, February 8. These reports illustrate the growth that each child has made in reading and math according to the iReady program.
Results are used to individualize instructional and will also guide iReady online lessons for the second half of the year. If your child does not bring home a report, it is likely because they have not completed both assessments. Reports will be shared as soon as testing is complete.
We are excited to celebrate the growth that our students have made so far this year. If you have any questions, please reach out to your child’s teacher.
Have a great evening!

Due to inclement weather, the county social studies fair has been rescheduled to Saturday, February 19.

Lubeck Families,
We need your help with afternoon pick-up.
Route 68 side- Please be cautious not to block the entrance or exit to any of our neighboring businesses. They are always very good to us and we don't want to prevent patrons from entering or exiting their establishment.
Lubeck Road- The intersection of Rt. 68 and Lubeck Road (near Pahlhurst Plaza) gets very congested. We have graciously been permitted to use the vacant lot at on the corner for overflow traffic. We are not able to use the Fire Department lot because it blocks emergency vehicles. Our bus drivers thank you for waiting until 2:40 to begin lining up. This allows them to reach their line-up location without any issues.
Dismissal is one of the most challenging logistics for any school. We have a good system, but we will continue to make it even better.
Thank you for your help!

Lubeck Parents,
Bus 177 has been delayed this morning. The bus is NOT involved in any type of incident. They are in traffic on Pond Creek Road and unable to move. All children are safe and will continue to Lubeck once the route is no longer blocked. Thank you!

The Lubeck 4th & 5th Grade Choir will perform tonight (11/29) at the First Annual Community Tree Lighting Ceremony.
Festivities begin at 6:00pm on the front lawn of Lubeck United Methodist Church. All are welcome to attend this community-wide event!
