Hello Grizzly Scientists! Tomorrow is our school's K-5 Science fair! Please make sure to bring your Tri-Fold, abstract, and winning presentation if you are participating! Please make sure to review the list of prohibited items (partial list includes liquids, chemicals, animals, plants or fungus and explosives). Tables are provided by our school and parents are allowed to help set up but they must leave the building NLT 8:00 as our tardy bell rings at 8:05 am. Judging will begin at approximately 8:30 am. All projects will be judged and awarded ribbons/certificates. However, only students in grades 3-5 will go on to the Wood County Science Fair. Good luck Grizzlies! We can't wait to learn all about your projects tomorrow morning! P.S. As the weather has gotten colder, pleas be sure your child wears a coat as they will be outside daily for brain breaks and/or recess. Students will not sit inside if parents don't send them wearing a coat. If you need help getting a coat for your child, please contact Mr. Ubbens in the office. Thank you.

Grizzlies. In an attempt to ensure all Greenmont students have a wonderful Christmas, we are actively searching for those who (1) Need help, and/or (2) Wish to help. A letter went home with all Kg-5 students Friday before Thanksgiving Break for parents to either request help or provide anonymous help for others. Per the forms, we need to have this information sent to Mr. Ubbens No Later Than Tuesday, December 3, 2024, so please act fast. As soon as we have families to help, we will reach out to those wishing to help. This is anonymous and the families receiving help will not be shared by name. Please reach out to Mr. Ubbens (bubbens@k12.wv.us) or call the school (304-420-9544) Monday or Tuesday. This opportunity is available to all grade levels (Pre-K-5). Grizzlies! A special thank you to all of our staff, PTA and students that worked together today to box up all of the donated foods so that they could be picked up by our families. Our Student Council Food Drive would not have been possible without all of the kindness and generosity of our Greenmont community. Our staff would also like our PTA for providing JRs Donuts this morning. Our PTA is awesome! Please be on the look-out for cold coming home to either RECEIVE Christmas help or if you would like to SUPPORT a family in need. Our PTA is sending out papers today which are due the Tuesday we come back (December 3). Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

The Lady Grizzlies basketball team played its heart out tonight in the tournament against the #2 ranked team. Although we were ahead at the half, the other team prevailed 23-13 at the final buzzer. Our ladies played with intensity, worked as a team, showed great sportsmanship and never gave up against the much larger opponent. We should all be thankful of this extraordinary group of ladies as they truly made our school community proud with their effort!
