Wood County Schools will be closed on Friday, January 19, 2024 due to inclement weather.

Due to icy road conditions and frigid temperatures, Wood County Schools will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, January 17, 2024.

Open enrollment starts today. Complete the form at woodcountyschoolswv.com/enrollment. Need some assistance or do not have access to the form? Visit your school office. The central office, at 1210 13th St. in Parkersburg, is another option for assistance with completing the form.

Open Enrollment begins at noon today (Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2024). If you would like your child to attend a school outside of your current attendance zone, you must complete the online enrollment form. The link opens at noon today.

Midterm for the 2nd nine weeks was today, Friday, December 1. Your child should have received his/her midterm during 8th period today. If you have a question or concern, please contact Edison next week. Thanks.

The school science fair will be held tomorrow, November 17. If your child is participating in the school fair, please remind him/her to being all materials and display board to school tomorrow. Set up in the library can begin at 7:30AM and needs to be completed by 8:10AM. Judging will begin around 8:15AM. Thanks.

Good evening Edison! We will be sending Spirit Wear order forms home with your child on Monday, November 13th. They will receive them in their 8th period class. If you would like to place an order, please fill out the form and return it to Edison. Your student should return the forms and the money to Mrs. Wilson in the cafeteria in the mornings. These make great Christmas presents and are a fantastic way to show off your "Eagle Pride." Have a great night!

Edison's Annual Veteran's Day Rally. Thanks Vandy for joining us.











Edison will hold our annual Veterans Day Sign Rally Friday morning from 9:30-11:00 outside of Mary Bee's on Southside. Everyone in the Edison family is welcome and encouraged to join us as we show our appreciation for those who have served or are currently serving in the military. An hour and a half is the least we can do to thank those who have given so much for us. Rain or shine. Dress warm and we will see you Friday morning at 9:30 in front of Mary Bee's.

Every year at this time we must fulfill a requirement of the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) of 1986. It is our responsibility to notify in writing, parents/legal guardian, school staff and employee organizations of the availability of the Asbestos Management Plan for each facility. Good evening. Edison Middle School will hold a Halloween dance on Monday evening from 6-8 at Edison. The cost of the dance is $4. Edison students only may attend. Costumes are permitted, not required, but if worn they must be school appropriate. All normal school rules apply. If you have any questions, feel free to call the school at 304-420-9525.
