It was such an honor to represent Criss Elementary at National Harbor outside of Washington, DC for the National Blue Ribbon Award's Ceremony. Not only were we 1 of only 325 schools in the nation to receive the award, the picture of our school was selected for the first page in the Recognizing Great American Schools' booklet.
Kudos to the students of the Wood County Schools' Elementary Honor Choir for an excellent performance! Enjoy the recording of the live streamed event.

Criss Elementary: This call is to let you know a fire extinguisher was accidentally discharged this morning at Criss Elementary School when a student's backpack apparently bumped it off the wall. Consequently, the intermediate end of the building was briefly evacuated until students could return inside. Third graders then met in the library with their teachers and fourth and fifth graders met in the gym with their teachers. Once the discharge from the fire extinguisher was cleaned up, students and teachers safely returned to their classrooms. Thank you and have a good afternoon.
Congratulations to our Principal's Integrity Club winners for the 1st 9 weeks!.
